Glacier Park is the fourth largest National Park in the U.S. and is famous for its majestic alpine scenery, snow-crested peaks, gleaming lakes, sparkling waterfalls, and rich forests. Nicknamed “The Crown Jewel of the Continent” and “Switzerland of North America,” Glacier National Park is comprised of 1.4 million acres of breathtaking beauty and is one of the oldest scenic wonders in the United States. Glacier boasts a thousand miles of trout streams, more than two hundred sparkling lakes, myriads of wild flowers and fifty living glaciers.
The famous Going-To-The-Sun Road, carved out of solid rock and completed in 1932, is approximately fifty miles long. This breathtaking trip to the top of the Continental Divide is one of the most scenic in the world.
