With the dam soaring 583 feet above, you will board a motorized pontoon raft for your journey downstream, where you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river found in the western United State. While underway, your experienced guide will tell the area’s story of soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, former inhavitation by native cultures, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell, and the river’s modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system. Your trip will also include a stop to view ancient petroglyphs left by Ancestral Puebloan peoples. The river portion of your trip ends at historic Lees Ferry, where you will board a motor coach or van for the short ride back. This is one of the most popular trips in all of northern Arizona.

Two Nights in Zion National Park
In sheer magnitude and color, Zion is very likely one of the most awe-inspiring National Parks in the world with the annual number of visitors ranging over 2.5 million.
Throughout the park iron oxide has colored the sandstone a myriad shades of red, while more natural white hues have remained in various sections and layers. Water flow from rain, and river has etched through the rock and created deep chasms of twisted and convoluted mass. Elevations in the Park range from 4,000 feet in the valley floors to nearly 9,000 feet at the highest points.
This beautiful lodge lies in the middle of a hiker’s paradise in Zion Park… within walking distance to trails.
Surrounded by spectacular 2000 foot canyon walls, at Zion Lodge there is a view from everywhere. The Narrows, Angels Landing and Emerald Pools are just a few of the 200 miles of picturesque trails in Zion National Park. Other exciting activities at Zion include climbing and horseback riding. After an exhilarating day in the park, you are invited to browse their gift shop or enjoy a relaxing dinner in their full service dining room.
During the summer, park rangers offer complimentary short talks at the visitor center as well as evening programs in the campground amphitheater and Zion Lodge.
Your stay includes a film featuring the hidden depths, and the legends of Zion National Park and the great southwestern Indian Lands on a six-story giant screen – 60 feet high and 82 feet across.
You will also enjoy a Trail Ride. For a nice relaxing horseback tour, the 1 hour ride will follow the Virgin River for about one mile to the Court of the Patriarchs and return you back to the loading corral.
